The Harrowing of Hell
A revival of the medieval mystery play, performed on a wagon on the streets of York
Featuring a community cast of over 30 actors drawn from the community of modern-day York, the wagon stage was wheeled from station to station across the city, just as in medieval times. With a new modern translation by Ben Prusiner, and with live music performed by John Holt Roberts.
